Naming Smart Contracts
When you give a human readable name to your smart contract, you close a large security hole. Remix has now implemented this ENS feature. Read more about contract naming here.
A contract to be named needs to be an Ownable contract. So have your contract inherit the OpenZepplin Ownable contract or something similar. Then deploy it to a public network - but not work on Sepolia. Then click the kebab dots for the popup menu and select Name Contract:
Then you’ll fill in the label and the project name:
Then set up the Reverse Name. But to do that you will first need to make a transaction with the contract signed by the contract’s owner. So make that transaction and then set the Reverse Name.
To the right of the Set Reverse button (current it is hard to see) is the “Skip” button.
Clicking that will bring you to this screen where you can go to the ENS app to find out more info about your contract:
Circom Proofs - Verifying and Generating dApps
Verify Circom Proofs on zkVerify
In the Circom Compiler plugin, you can now verify a proof with zkVerify. The zkVerify service faster and cheaper than verifying proofs onchain directly from your contract. Read more about zkVerify and the Kurier network. To verify the proofs, they must use the Groth16 proving scheme.
Before you verify, you’ll need to input an API key in the Settings panel for zkVerify.
Make a dApp for a ZK Proof
To start playing with Circom circuits in Remix make a new workspace with one of the Circom templates or instruct RemixAI to generate you a Circom circuit. Then when you use compile it, then run the setup and the power of Tau, you can create a ZK dApp with QuickDApp.
Then QuickDApp will ask some questions in the RemixAI Assistant panel.
QuickDApp Can Write a DApp’s Documentation
After you have launched QuickDApp, in the dApp setup panels, there is now a section to have RemixAI write documentation of the dApp.
